Kristy Smedley - MS, TN-QHP

Senior Scientist | Environmental Manager


Ms. Smedley has more than 20 years of experience in the geo-environmental industry as an environmental and ecological consultant. Her specialties include wetland and stream delineation and assessment, permitting and mitigation, protected species surveys, and regulatory preparation of regulatory permit applications, interacting with regulatory agencies, and mitigation support for natural resource projects, including construction and annual monitoring.  She is experienced in interacting with project managers, contractors, and permitting agencies and has built excellent working relationships with regulatory personnel in federal and state agencies. She is also an owning partner of Asa.

 

Ryan Schroering

Stormwater Inspector | Soil Scientist | Construction Inspector


Ryan joined Asa as a entry-level EPSC and Construction Inspector in August of 2017 after graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. degree in Geology - Environmental Geology.  He has since been 100% utilized on public and private sector construction projects and environmental permitting projects as a Construction Inspector, Environmental Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) Inspector, and/or Environmental Scientist Assistant.  Ryan has taken on roles of increasing responsibility that include construction inspection, environmental stormwater and permit compliance inspections, stormwater sampling, wetlands deliniation, stream determinations, and daily reporting and contractor pay application verification of both linear and vertical construction projects.
