City of East Ridge: Camp Jordan Artificial Turf Fields
Asa Engineering and Consulting, Inc., was selected by the City of East Ridge in the Spring of 2025 to provide planning, land surveying, civil site design, permitting, and construction administration for the replacement of natural turf with artificial turf on four existing baseball fields and one soccer field at Camp Jordan Park located in East Ridge, TN. Improvements to the fields were needed to avoid saturated field conditions in wet seasons prohibiting use of the athletic facilities.
Asa worked closely with the City of East Ridge, Hamilton County, and Baseline Sports Construction on the planning, design, permitting, scheduling, and construction of the artificial turf to improve drainage conditions, minimize disturbance of existing facilities, and maintain athletic operations while keeping the project on schedule and within budget.
The total project area included approximately 6.5 acres of existing soccer field, baseball fields, and adjacent infrastructure serving the existing facilities. Site improvements included artificial turf installation of four ball fields and one soccer field along with associated drainage, hardscape and landscape surrounding the fields. Construction began on the $3M project in the fall of 2025 and is expected to be completed by the late Spring 2026.
